Scott County School District is located in the heart of Kentucky's "Bluegrass Region," in historic Georgetown Kentucky. "Big City" convenience with small town charm makes Georgetown very inviting. Located just a few miles from Lexington, Georgetown is an affordable and safe place to locate to. We are conveniently located near the junction of Interstates 75 and 64.
Our district is composed of Fourteen schools which include: Scott County High School, Elkhorn Crossing School, Scott County Ninth Grade School, Georgetown Middle School, Royal Spring Middle School, Scott County Middle School, Anne Mason Elementary School, Eastern Elementary School, Garth Elementary School, Northern Elementary School, Southern Elementary School, Stamping Ground Elementary School, Western Elementary School, and The Cardinal Academy. The Cardinal Academy services students grades 9-12 in need of more specialized instruction. The district also operates Preschool programs and Adult/Community Education (Lifelong Learning Center.)
The Scott County School System is excited to announce our newest school, Elkhorn Crossing School (ECS), which opened in the fall of 2010. ECS currently serves approximately 430 Sophomores and Juniors from Scott County High School. The focus of Elkhorn Crossing is curriculum integration across core content and career based disciplines where students will learn critical thinking skills, presentation skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to collaborate with others. ECS is an extended campus of SCHS offering students a different methodology of learning. For more information, please click here.
