Superintendent Patricia Putty began her tenure with Scott County Schools in July 2008.  Previous experience includes Assistant Superintendent for Boyle County Schools and Elementary Principal, Supervisor of Instruction K-12 and Director of Curriculum & Instruction for Woodford County Schools.

Enrollment as of August 16, 2012 is 8505 students: 4103 elementary, 1985 middle and 2417 in grades 9-12.

• Elementary schools include Anne Mason Elementary, Eastern Elementary, Garth Elementary, Northern Elementary, Southern Elementary, Stamping Ground Elementary and Western Elementary. 
• Three middle schools are Georgetown Middle, Royal Spring Middle and Scott County Middle. 
• Secondary schools/departments include Scott County High School, Elkhorn Crossing School, Scott County Ninth Grade School and Cardinal Academy.

What are the ACT results for Scott County Schools?
In 2012, 515 juniors at SCHS took the ACT achieving an average composite score of 20.2.  This placed Scott County in the top 12% of school districts in Kentucky and represents an increase from 19.9 from the score of the junior class the previous year.

How successful is the Advanced Placement program for Scott County Schools?
Students at Scott County High School and Elkhorn Crossing School can choose from 19 different Advanced Placement course offerings.  Enrollment in AP classes has doubled to more than 900 in the past four years.  Likewise, the number of students who take and pass AP exams continues to climb.  In 2011, Scott County students took nearly 700 exams with more than 400 qualifying scores.
