Anti-Bullying Initiative Gaining Momentum at RSMS
Students and parents at Royal Spring Middle School recently attended a powerful program designed to reduce the incidences of bullying in schools called Operation Mojo.
Renowned guest speaker and author Mr. Mojo Travis Brown, also known as America’s Anti-Bullying Coach, shared his message and became a member of the Royal Spring PTSO.
As a result of this program, student leaders at RSMS have started a task force designed to increase awareness of bullying as peers stand together to fight it.
“The task force is really good because it helps students know bullying is not a good thing and being aware of it is not a bad thing. It helps to know other people will stand up to bullying with me,” commented seventh grade student Kaitlin Hammond.
Students at RSMS have had the opportunity to sign a pledge to support the anti-bullying initiative. The task force is planning a week long awareness campaign with daily activities for students in November. School Counselor Angela Fraley is leading the efforts to provide the year-long program.
