First let me say I hope everyone has a joyous holiday over the Winter Break. Please get plenty of rest and have lots of fun. If you are traveling I pray you have a safe journey.
I can’t believe that this school year is almost halfway done! So far it has been a wonderful year. Our students are growing both physically and mentally each day, and I am enjoying seeing all the changes.
As we get into the winter months, it will be important for parents to stay in touch with our school. If we have bad weather, you will need to know whether your student has school or not. The best way to do this is by signing up for E-Communications on the Scott County website. Click on the link below to signup:
This will alert you to closures, delays, or early dismissals during inclement weather.
Starting in January 2017 Scott County Schools will be instituting the use of Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Days. NTI Days will allow learning to continue when school is cancelled. NTI days will count as instruction days and may not have to be made up at the end of the school year. When the decision to use a NTI Day is made, Scott County Schools will notify local news channels, post on the Scott County School website, and send out a district e-communication message. It will state that we are having a “Scott County Schools-NTI Day”. We are very excited about this program and hope parents encourage their student to complete and return the classwork promptly.
Have a Merry Christmas!
