Mark your calendars and make plans now, no school in Scott County on Thursday, March 8, 2018.
The Scott County High School Lady Cardinal Basketball Team dominated the 11th region to win the regional title with a 77-54 victory over Franklin County. The team will advance to the first round of the state tournament on Thursday, March 8, 2018.
This continues a winning tradition in Scott County. It is the sixth time the women's basketball program has won the regional title. Our district and community will honor another important tradition as we close school on Thursday, March 8 to allow students, staff, families, and community members to attend the KHSAA Girls Sweet 16 tournament to cheer on the Cards. SCHS will play Louisville DuPont Manual at 1:30pm on March 8 at the BB&T Arena at Northern Kentucky University.
School will not be in session in Scott County on Thursday, March 8. This will not be a Non-Traditional Instruction Day as it does not meet the guidelines set forth by the Kentucky Department of Education for use as a NTI day. In Scott County, we accumulate more instructional time than the minimum required by the state. As a result, the last day of school for students will still be Friday, May 25.
