Adequate staffing is essential to keep schools open in person in Scott County. The Substitute Teacher Extended Employment Program (STEEP) addresses this need by increasing the daily rate for subs who agree to work a specified number of days.
Substitute teachers qualifying for Rank IV pay (high school diploma and at least 96 college credit hours) will receive $182.63 each day. Substitute teachers with between 64 and 95 college credit hours will qualify for Rank V pay at a rate of $167.40 each day.
Subs who participated in previous rounds of the STEEP program are eligible to continue with the program, which is also open to anyone currently on the sub list who has not yet participated in STEEP as well as anyone interested in applying to be a sub for Scott County Schools.
