With FLU season upon us, we are looking for donations of hand sanitizer and tissues for our classrooms. If you would like to donate these items, please send them with your student to the front office or bring them in to the office. Thank you so much for your help in combating illnesses.
Congratulations to Clayton Shaddix as Great Crossing High Schools first state placer!!!! Clayton finished 8th at the
high school state wrestling championships this past weekend. Not only the first state placer but as a 7th grader set a tough standard for those to come!
All eSports players, please remember to sign up for the Remind and turn in your remaining paperwork to Mr. Musick. League of Legends players, we will be having our first match Tuesday the 18th at 4:00.
GCHS is supporting a fellow Warhawk during a time of need. We are having a competition between NEST groups to collect the metal tabs on the top of soda cans to help cover the cost of needed services. There will be a pizza party provided by Mrs. Lusby and the Counseling Office for the NEST group who collects the most tabs.
Great Crossing High School Theater Department is pleased to announce the presentation of “Into the Woods” as our spring musical .This is going to be an amazing show.
If you are interested in attending the Kentucky United Nations Assembly - or KUNA, Great Crossing's Y-Club will be holding mandatory meetings every Friday in the library after school until 4:30. If you need more information, please see Ms. Brewer in room 118.
Students are NOT allowed to wear Heelys at GCHS at any time, even during after school events!!

Are you interested in taking Dual Credit classes next year? SCHS and GCHS are joining forces to host a Parent University Dual Credit Night on February 20th at 6:00pm in the Scott County High School Auditorium. BCTC, Georgetown College, and Midway University will be present to help answer college specific questions. High school counselors from both SCHS and GCHS, and a district representative, will also be present to help answer questions about how this may work with your high school schedule. Please mark your calendar and join us for this event.
ACT for all Juniors will be administered on Tuesday, March 10th, 2020. The test will begin at 8:45 and will approximately end during NEST. ALL students classified in Infinite Campus as a Junior MUST take this test.
--Backpacks, purses, and lunch bags will be placed in the collab pods and/or the hallways outside of the testing rooms during the test administration. The entire second floor and hallway will be monitored at all times.
--There will be NO cell phones allowed in the testing rooms. Students should leave their phones in their car, or in a backpack in the hallway, or even just at home for that day. This is incredibly important!
--Students wishing to use their own calculators can do so, but they must be pre-approved before March 10th. More information will be provided on this during next Monday’s NEST time.
Students Remember: THERE WILL BE NO BACKPACKS OR BALLS of any type allowed at any GCHS sporting event!! There is also NO food or drink allowed into the event!
- Baseball tryouts schedule for this week:
Monday - 5:00-7:00pm
Tuesday - 7:30-9:00pm
Wednesday - 5:00-7:00pm
We will meet in the fieldhouse, however, please be prepared to be inside or outside during all of these tryout sessions.
You MUST have an updated physical to participate in these tryouts.
